I have taught Art, Design and Photography for 30 years across the Midlands, having completed a BA in Fine Art at Wolverhampton University. My interest in capturing buildings started many years ago, largely inspired by the textures of crumbling Mediterranean architecture.

In more recent years, I have been hugely inspired by the buildings and urban spaces I am surrounded by in Coventry, my home town. I have developed a fascination with Brutalist and Modernist movements which have transformed our city, and in capturing the beauty of urban and sometimes derelict spaces which are often overlooked and unappreciated.

In more recent work I have found my style has become more focused on accuracy of detail, this is not a conscious change and it sometimes frustrates me. I work in acrylic or gouache and a mixture of pens on wood panel, card and watercolour paper; I really love using Posca, Faber Castell and Winsor and Newton Promarkers, but I also pick up all sorts of markers and pens, fineliners and brush pens to use. Anything that makes a mark.
In recent years I have exhibited at the Rugby and Coventry Open Exhibitions and more recently at the LTB in Coventry in January 2024.
